August 10, 2026 CFM: Job Gets Through the Hard
Keeping perspective is difficult when we are in the midst of trials. I have thought often about how I have carried my own frustration and anger when things weren’t going well, and if I continued to trust in God that He could work all things for my own good. I am grateful for age, wisdom, and being able to step back and see how everything eventually works out. Job? He was frankly a rockstar with a lot of trauma to endure, but he still kept his faith and remembered to “Think Celestial!”
Story time! When we were wanting to move from Boston, Massachusetts to Washington State to be closer to family it seemed like nothing was happening to make that come to pass. Despite my prayers and pleadings with God, we found ourselves moving to nearby Connecticut instead. I was frustrated and couldn’t understand why, but as we drove to check out a home a strong feeling of peace and comfort came over me as we entered the little town, and I knew God had a plan for our little family. How grateful I am now that He was at the helm. Experiences I needed to have, people I needed to meet, things I needed to see, and testimonies that needed to strengthen all were part of the trials and joy we experienced at that time in our lives.
